MAAHS develops and maintains relationships with organizations, governmental agencies, universities and other appropriate parties to facilitate services for its members.

MAAHS Online Discussion and Collaboration Forum - MAAHS initiated this collaborative group to enhance the ability of members and direct clients to share labor and human resource issues, experiences and ideas. This site is exclusively available to MAAHS members and direct clients and additional managers and supervisors within their businesses. New MAAHS members and direct clients will be sent invitations to join this exclusive group after membership fees are received. Basic Phone Consultation – MAAHS staff will be available during normal business hours (except when at meetings, doing field work) to discuss general labor and human resource issues. Some members have found it helpful to have MAAHS initially call regulatory agencies on their behalf to avoid becoming the target of an investigation.

Educational Workshops - MAAHS presents educational sessions at Sponsor Member events and can coordinate on-site training and other focused training sessions to meet the needs of member firms. Fees to cover costs will be charged for these workshops.

Foreign Labor Advisory Services - MAAHS can assist members in obtaining workers through the federal H-1B, H-2A and H-2B temporary guestworker programs. (Fee-based service)

MSPA Disclosure Form Service - The Migrant & Seasonal Agricultural Worker Protection Act requires a disclosure be provided migrant and seasonal workers. (Fee-based service)

Labor Law Compliance Guide - An overview of state and federal labor law issues facing agricultural and horticultural businesses in Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio. Included with membership fee. Sponsor Limited Members may obtain this manual for a reduced fee of $50.

MAAHS may assist Sponsor Limited Members with human resource educational programming at Sponsor Member events at its discretion.

Board of Trustees - Sponsor Premium Members are eligible to be nominated for the MAAHS Board of Trustees.

Sponsor Incentive - Sponsor Premium Members are eligible to receive inventive payments for its members that claim them as their sponsor organization and pay dues to MAAHS. Payments are 10% of activation fees and 5% of annual dues paid by Employer Members.

Educational Programming - MAAHS will work with Sponsor Members to coordinate human resource educational programming at Sponsor Member events with revenue sharing as appropriate. Contact MAAHS to discuss.

Regulatory Issue Management - MAAHS will consult with Sponsor Premium Members to address regulatory policy issues that negatively impact Employer Members and to initiate public policies that benefit Employer Members. MAAHS does not lobby at the state or federal levels of government. Contact MAAHS to discuss.

Employers and Organizations in Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio may join MAAHS to become eligible for these programs.

Employers in states other than Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio may become a MAAHS Direct Client to become eligible for these programs and services.
