CIFT Announces GAPs Consulting Services
September 8, 2006
The Center for Innovative Food Technology, Inc. (CIFT), a recently designated Edison Center in Toledo, Ohio is pleased to announce the addition of Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) Consulting Services to its list of available services and capabilities. CIFT has been providing these services in partnership with MAAHS as a part of the Ohio and Indiana Specialty Crop Risk Management Initiative for over four years. During that time, we have worked with countless growers in both Ohio and Indiana to assess their Food Safety issues, provide guidance on addressing those issues, help with the development of personalized food safety programs, and performed mock audits for those who needed to prepare for third party food safety audits.
Sine the funding for this program will not be available after September 30, 2006, we will make these services available on a fee for service basis to anyone who requires additional help in food safety prevention and preparation. If you need assistance in assessing your needs and developing your food safety program, please contact Shari Plimpton for Ohio and Indiana (614-314-4627, email: shari.plimpton@eisc.org). You can also write to us at EISC/CIFT, Inc., 5555 Airport Highway, Suite 100, Toledo, OH 43615.
